Greenscroll, a Canadian non-profit start-up based in Toronto, is a way for people who own or visit websites to invest in green energy projects - to alleviate some of the damage that the Web does to the planet, such as server farms, brown electricity etc. People who join Greenscroll get a certificate, depending on their page views – to show on their website and demonstrate to visitors that they're offsetting their carbon footprint. Greenscroll has already "greened" over 235,000 page views.
