What does it do?

Common Enterprise is the connected products company. Our solution will enable producers of consumer durable goods industry to maintain a relationship with consumers for the life of a product. This connection benefits both marketing and sustainability stakeholders within a producer organization. For marketing, it will provide the ability to further monetize the relationship with new consumer digital services and unprecedented contextual marketing. For sustainability, it will help the efficient recovery of durable goods at the end of their useful life. The solution is a software-as-a-service platform with web and mobile applications that provides that provide consumers with a digital experience for everyday products. When a consumer takes a new product home, he or she adds it to their personal inventory by scanning the product’s barcode or other unique identifier with the mobile phone application. When a consumer wishes to access a product’s digital experience such as discard the product, they use the mobile or web application to receive discard instructions specific to that exact product model and the consumer’s location. For sustainability, this connection provides producers with a cost-effective and flexible platform to coordinate product recovery long after the product is purchased. The solution is the missing infrastructure to effectively coordinate product recovery on a large scale and enable cradle to cradle of consumer durables.
